We aim to collect the minimum information needed to run the features you choose to use.

Account information

If you create an account, we store your name, email address, password hash, optional profile details and profile photo. Your password is stored as a one-way hash rather than plain text.

Reading activity

Likes and ratings are linked to your account so saved articles and ratings can appear in your member area. Article view counts may be stored in aggregate to understand which topics are useful.

Newsletter

If you subscribe, we store your email address so we can send the publication emails you requested.

Analytics and advertising

If we enable analytics or advertising, third-party providers may process technical information, identifiers or cookie data according to their policies. For EEA, UK and Swiss visitors, advertising consent requirements apply; configure Google AdSense Privacy & Messaging or another appropriate certified CMP before enabling personalized advertising.

Your choices

You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion of account information, subject to applicable law and legitimate security or record-keeping requirements.
